SJWD set to enhance synergies to drive continuous growth in 2025 Determining to expand high-potential businesses Along with further reinforcing strength in financial position

SCG JWD Logistics Public Company Limited (SJWD) announced the Company’s determination to foster continuous growth on the strong foundation based on the synergies among various business groups and partners, enhancing confidence in the strong financial position, low debt-to-equity ratio, and the customer base within the SCG Group that will help to increase revenue stability and opportunities to expand services well into the future. In 2025, the aim is to further expand high-potential businesses, with the focus on “cold storage warehouses, vehicle storage and management service, international freight forwarding, and overseas businesses” to drive growth. The plan also include planning to offer for sale some general warehouse assets under a joint venture to a REIT partner.
Mr. Bunn Kasemsup, Co-Chief Executive Officer of SCGJWD Logistics Public Company Limited (SJWD), the largest integrated logistics and supply chain service provider in the ASEAN, revealed that the Company is fully determined to continuously grow its businesses to achieve the target of increasing its market capitalization to 100 billion baht and increasing the proportion of profits from affiliated companies in foreign countries to 40 percent by 2030, as well as aiming to become a “Net Zero” organization by 2050 through providing Green Logistics services and reducing carbon emissions in Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3. The Company currently operates in nine ASEAN countries and southern China, with a total area of general warehouses, hazardous goods warehouses, automotive yard, and temperature-controlled storage of more than 2.3 million square meters. Additionally, SJWD operates a fleet of over 14,000 transport vehicles, has a network of over 220 cargo ships, and relies on a 2,400-strong customer base. The Company also has a strong network of leading partners in the logistics and supply chain businesses.
In the past year, the Company has expanded its businesses and investments both domestically and internationally. These included:
- The acquisition of a 20.12 percent stake in Asia Network International Public Company Limited (ANI), the leading airline general sales agent (GSA) in Thailand
- The acquisition of a 20.48 percent stake in Swift Haulage Berhad (SWIFT), an integrated logistics operator listed on the Malaysian Stock Exchange.
- The establishment of SCGJWD Freight Company Limited to restructure and enhance its potential in providing international freight forwarding services.
In addition, the Company has completed the construction of a new cold storage warehousing facility in Chiang Mai, covering an area of 2,700 square meters; and, opened two general warehouses in Laem Chabang Industrial Estate, Chonburi Province, covering a combined area of over 54,000 square meters under Alpha Industrial Solutions Company Limited, a joint venture with Origin Property Public Company Limited (ORI), etc. It has also expanded its services for the Company’s major customer, PTT Oil and Retail Public Company Limited (OR), by offering Green Logistics Solutions to provide food and bakery delivery services to Café Amazon stores. For all its notable achievements, SJWD was bestowed with the “Highly Commended Supply Chain Management Award” at the “SET Awards 2024”, and the “AAA” SET ESG Rating 2024 assessment.
Moreover, the Company’s financial position remains solid. At the end of 2024, the debt-to-equity ratio with interest bearing was 0.67 times, with cash flow surplus at year-end of more than 2,400 million baht. The offering of debentures in September 2024 for a value not exceeding 4,200 million baht attracted investors who wanted to subscribe significantly more than the offered value. In addition, the Company has a customer base within the SCG group, which helps to increase the revenue stability and increase the efficiency of resource utilization. However, at present, the Company is only providing about 50 percent of logistics and supply chain services of the SCG Group, so there is considerable opportunity to expand the service base in the future. At the same time, SCG also adjusts its strategy constantly to stay in-step with the economic situation, so the Company is confident that the volume of goods being transported for the SCG Group will not decrease this year.
Mr. Charvanin Bunditkitsada, Co-Chief Executive Officer of SJWD, said that in 2025, the Company aims to grow through the stronger synergies among the various business groups and business partners, with the focus on expanding the high-potential businesses, including the “Cold Storage Warehouse Business”, which will see the launch of four new cold storage facilities this year, with a total floor area of over 37,000 square meters, making up of Chiang Mai (completed late last year) 2,700 square meters, Saraburi (Phase 2) 3,400 square meters, Rangsit 14,595 square meters, and SCG Nichirei’s cold storage (Phase 3) with an area of 17,091 square meters in Pathum Thani Province. This business will also see the expansion of cold storage services for the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries, with the plan to jointly invest with customers to build new cold storage warehouses, to study deals with partners, and to further expand the temperature-controlled transportation network.
As for the “Vehicle Storage and Management Service Business”, the Company provided services involving more than 500,000 vehicles last year, accounting for more than one-third of the market share of more than 1.46 million vehicles produced in the country. This year’s plan is to expand services to cover the electric vehicle (EV) segment and broaden the services to cover the import and export of automotive raw materials and parts. The international “Freight Forwarding Business” is expected to see an increase in revenue to 2.5 billion baht by 2029 from last year’s revenue of 1.5 billion baht.
Recently, SCGJWD Freight Company Limited was established to increase service potential and to speed up the creation of a new S-Curve to be derived from being the first integrated logistics service provider with a digital platform for linking electronic data, or “NSW Service Provider (NSP)”, which is a data upload system that connects government agencies (namely, Customs Department) and the business sector for transactions involving import, export and logistics. Collaborations will also be established with partners, ANI and Sino Logistics Corporation (SINO) to interconnect the international freight service network.
The “Overseas Business” will focus on expanding businesses in China, Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia and the Philippines. In China, the Company will cooperate with JUSDA to provide cross-border freight services, warehousing and import-export from China to Thailand and the ASEAN region, especially involving electric vehicles, automotive parts, electronic parts and machinery to connect freight services between China with Vietnam, Laos, Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore, which together had a total market value of US$26 billion last year. SJWD will also cooperate with Ruiyun Logistics to study business opportunities in cross-border temperature-controlled freight services between Thailand, Vietnam and China.
While in Vietnam, the Company will start to recognize full-year revenue from its 100 percent shareholding in SCGJWD Logistics (Vietnam) Company Limited (formerly SCG International Vietnam). Last year, this company received work from Vietnam Construction Materials Joint Stock Company (VCM), a subsidiary of SCG, a cement manufacturer in Vietnam, to provide a complete logistics service as an end-to-end supply chain solution provider. In Malaysia, the Company has joined hands with SWIFT to establish a joint venture company to expand the cold storage warehouse business in Malaysia in three locations with a total combined floor area of over 31,000 square meters. These are expected to gradually open for service in the first quarter of 2026. The Company’s expertise will be applied to expand the business in the automotive storage and management business in Indonesia, and to broaden the cold storage warehouse business in Indonesia and the Philippines, both of which have high growth potential.
In addition, Alpha Industrial Solutions Company Limited (ALPHA), with the business of general warehouse construction, has a plan to offer for sale some assets worth approximately 4 billion baht to the REIT partner to expand its continuous investment. In September, the company is expected to start recognizing revenue from the launch and management of a new warehouse in Bangkadi Industrial Park for B.Grimm Carrier (Thailand) Company Limited and Carrier (Thailand) Company Limited, as well as the provision of logistics and fulfillment services, which will help to support the company’s growth and reinforce its strong business potential.
